25hr YOga nidra TRAINING WITH kate
This 25-hour continuing education training offers a comprehensive introduction to the practice and teaching of Yoga Nidra. Designed for yoga teachers and dedicated practitioners, the course explores both traditional roots and modern applications of this powerful practice.
Yoga Nidra is known for its ability to bring the body into deep rest while keeping the mind aware. Practiced regularly, it can support better sleep, help regulate the nervous system, and reduce patterns of stress and reactivity. It also creates space for clarity and insight, allowing practitioners to relate to their thoughts and experiences with more steadiness.
You’ll study how to design Yoga Nidra practices through the lens of the koshas (the layers of the self), giving you a clear framework for structuring practices that move from the physical body toward more subtle states of awareness. We'll explore foundational techniques from classical Yoga Nidra traditions, including the use of Sankalpa (intention), structured rotation of consciousness, breath awareness, and guided visualization, alongside the Himalayan 61 Points of Light practice. We’ll also explore contemporary approaches to Yoga Nidra, giving you a range of tools to work with different students, intentions, and settings.
Throughout the training, we’ll focus on both personal experience and practical application. You’ll develop your own relationship to the practice while learning how to skillfully guide others.
This training is a mix of in-person immersion and remote learning. Lecture content, recorded practices, and homework assignments will support integration between sessions.
All participants will receive a 25-hour Yoga Alliance CE certificate upon completion.
